From Humble Beginnings

Founded in 1855 by Richard Cooper production started with four staff in the bottom floor of a rented house in Ashbourne.

The company continued to grow at its height employing 3000 staff over 4 sites, this was only achieved by developing strong brands and a reputation for quality.

Full Circle

In 1970 the present Managing Director Jim French left Coopers to start Chil-Tex Ltd. In March 1999 he came full circle and bought the Coopers of Ashbourne company.  This merger of product range and skill base now represents a formidable force within the industry.
